Abstract
An exhaustive classification of the density perturbations and magnetic field generation induced by a large amplitude HF wave is made in the steady state case in a moving frame associated to the HF wave packet in the case of one-dimensional spatial variation of the envelope of the HF electric field and the condition of the quasi-neutrality is also specified in this case. The classification depends on four parameters, the skin depth L0, $\beta$ the ratio of the kinetic to magnetic pressure, $\alpha = 1 - V^2_{\rm g}/C^2_{\rm A}$ ( $V_{\rm g}$ the velocity of the moving frame, $C_{\rm A}$ the Alfven velocity) and $\upsilon = 1 - C^2_{\rm A}/c^2$. Explicit expressions of the low frequency density $n^{\rm S}$ and induced magnetic field ${\bf B}^{\rm S}$ are given according to the value of L0 compared to al $\partial_x^{-1}$, the slow space scale of the perturbations, to the value of $\beta$ compared to $\alpha$ and to the value of $\upsilon$. A few consequences of this model are discussed.
