Abstract
The electrical conductivity and dielectric behavior were studied at room temperature for Ni xMg 1-xFe 2O 4 samples prepared by usual ceramic technique. The experimental results indicated that the real dielectric constant $\varepsilon^{\prime}$ and loss factor tan $\delta$ decrease while the AC electrical conductivity $\sigma_{2}(\omega)$ increases as the frequency increases. The DC and AC electrical conductivity, $\varepsilon^{\prime}$ and tan $\delta$ decrease as Ni-ion substitution increases. The parameters n and B for the AC electrical conductivity $\sigma_{2}(\omega)$ were found to be composition dependent, n and B decrease as Ni-ion substitution increases. Empirical formulae were suggested for the compositional dependence of both n and B respectively.
