Experimental study on lifetimes and current production from a GaAs electron source

Abstract
A very low pressure activation which allows an improved current emission has been carried out on a GaAs NEA activated photocathode. The experiments show that, under a pressure threshold, several hundreds of $\mu$A current are delivered continuously for some days.
